During the concert with the youngest artists, ICMA president Remy Franck presented this year’s winner of the ICMA Discovery Award, sixteen-year-old Chinese flutist Yuan Yu. Yuan already won the flute competitions in Krakow and Kobe, which are among the most renowned competitions for this instrument. He receives a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and he is a student at the Conservatoire National de Musique et Danse de Paris in the class of Professor Philippe Bernold, assisted by Florence Souchard-Delépine.
