ICMA winners boost their career

Jodie Devos, ICMA Young Artist of the Year 2015, made her US debut during the Mostly Mozart Festival at New York’s Lincoln Center. She sang the soprano part in Mozart’s Requiem, conducted by Louis Langrée. In October, Warner Classics will release the debut album of another ICMA winner: soprano Elsa Dreisig’s CD Miroirs. Elsa Dreisig was ICMA’s Young Artist of the Year 2017.

On Saturday 12 May, the Croatian Radio HRT will broadcast the ICMA Gala concert which took place at NOSPR Concert Hall in Katowice. ICMA Discovery Award winner Yuan Yu played in Tokyo and Beijing

The winner of this year’s IMCA Discovery Award, which the Jury organizes in collaboration with the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, Chinese flutist Yuan Yu, recently played two concerts in Asia. Polskie Radio Chopin becomes an ICMA Jury member

The Jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) has admitted Polskie Radio Chopin as Jury member. Polskie Radio Chopin was launched in November by the Polish public radio. It is entirely dedicated to classical music and operates 24/24 in the Internet. The name of Chopin in the title is a symbol as well as an axis of the program, but in fact, the radio covers the widest possible range of classical music. Read More →

German ECHO is abolished

The German Music Industry Association has finally abolished its ECHO Awards after the world-wide indignation about the award given to rap duo Kollegah and Farid Bang, who used anti-semitic, misogynist, homophobe lyrics, contemptuous of human dignity.
