The Westdeutsche Sinfonia, a hand-picked best-of ensemble of the major North Rhine-Westphalian orchestras founded in 1987 and directed by Dirk Joeres, and the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) have agreed to a collaboration, under which the Westdeutsche Sinfonia will stage an annual concert featuring one of the young artists honored by the ICMA. By mid-December 2022 over a quarter of a million people had seen the live recording of the ICMA Gala Concert at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, with winners of the International Classical Music Awards 2022 and the Luxembourg Philharmonic conducted by Adam Fischer.
