ICMA Jury nominates 391 releases for the 2023 Awards

The International Classical Music Awards ICMA today announced the nominations for their Awards 2023, celebrating the best musicians and recordings. This year’s nominations include many renowned soloists, ensembles, conductors and orchestras as well as a lot of young musicians, many of them being first-nominees. A total of 391 audio and video productions (+14) from 117 labels have been nominated. To become a nomination, a production needs to be proposed by at least two jury members. With 26 nominations, Alpha comes on the first place. It is followed by Harmonia Mundi (19) and Naxos (18).

The finalists will be known by 12 December. The winners of the prestigious ICMA Awards will be revealed on 18 January 2023.

The Award Ceremony and Gala concert will take place at the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw on 21 April 2023, with the NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero.
