In 2014, Elzbieta Penderecka’s Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw hosted the ICMA Ceremony. ICMA Jury members regularly attend this festival. This year, Pierre-Jean Tribot (Crescendo) and Martin Hoffmeister (MDR Kultur) have attended the festival, and currently Remy Franck (Pizzicato) as well as Roman Berchenko (Radio Orpheus) are in Warsaw.

‘ICMA Discovery Award’ füllt die Säle

Im Rahmen der Jugendstil-Konzertreihe des Mosel Musikfestivals wird es dank der großen Nachfrage ein weiteres Konzert von Pianist Robert Neumann geben, teilte der Veranstalter mit. Die Veranstaltung ‘Jugendstil 2’ am 25. August war binnen kurzer Zeit bereits bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht. Aus diesem Grund hat sich der Sieger beim ICMA Discovery Award 2017 bereit erklärt, am gleichen Tag noch einmal zusätzlich um 11 Uhr vormittags auf Schloss Lieser aufzutreten. Die Karten für den Zusatztermin sind ab sofort erhältlich.


Lucerne Symphony: Successful residency in Korea

Today the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra’s residency at the Tongyeong Festival in Korea came to an end. The orchestra had  a great success. Lucerne Symphony in residence at the Tongyeong Music Festival

Today the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is playing the opening concert at the Tongyeong International Music Festival in South Korea. The orchestra is in residence in Tongyeong where it plays two concerts in the sold-out concert hall of Tongyeong as well as children’s concerts. Conducted by Michael Sanderling the concerts features soloists Roman Trekel and Yeree Suh in the Brahms Requiem and Behzod Abduraimov in Rachmaninovs First Pianos Concert. ICMA and Luzerner Sinfonieorchester announce terrific program for the Gala Concert

The International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) and the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester have announced the program of the ICMA Gala Concert which will take place on 10 May 2019 at the iconic KKL Luzern with eight soloists, one chamber duo and the orchestra conducted by American conductor Lawrence Foster as well as by the Finnish Maestro Leif Segerstam. The concert will feature pianists Nelson Freire (Lifetime Achievement Award), Javier Perianes (Artist of the Year), and Eva Gevorgyan (Discovery Award), bassoonist Matko Smolcic (Young Artist of theYear), soprano Albina Shagimuratova, violinists Chouchane Siranossian and Stephen Waarts, cellist Christoph Heesch as well as the Duo Tabea Zimmermann & Denes Varjon. ICMA Discovery Award winner Eva Gevorgyan recently played in Yerevan Armenia’s capital, where she performed Chopin’s Concerto No. 2 with the National Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Eduard Topchjan. Two ICMA winners met in Cleveland

Javier Perianes, ICMA Artist of the year was in Cleveland last week, playing Ravel in G with The Cleveland Orchestra and François Xavier Roth. At the same time, ICMA Discovery Award winner Eva Gevorgyan was in Cleveland too, playing concerts for the Cleveland International Piano Competition, where she won First Prize in the Junior Division in 2018. Eva attended the Perianes concert and both ICMA winners met backstage.
